I guess my music could be said to be a contribution to society and it seems relatively popular, but in all honesty it's for my enjoyment more than any body else's.

Still, I'd say you make a contribution, given that others derive enjoyment from your music. Certainly better than doing something and a) not enjoying it, and/or b) no one else gaining something out of it.

What kind of music so you play if you don't mind me asking?
