I visited the Occupy Chapel Hill peeps today. I think I'm going to help make some better signs http://i.imgur.com/oLJUD.jpg. Any suggestions on short effective phrases?
I suggest they clean up the palates and signs in a pile. I realize roughing it on the street isn't easy, but hiding behind a pile of garbage doesn't do much for the message.
Their presence is the message. It wouldn't hurt to give it some love. Seriously, maybe a nearby flower shop could donate flowers each day that were about to be pitched.

Yeah, I felt the same way while I was there. I'm going to see if I can talk to someone that is on their organizing team. I have a number of suggestions. Visually it plays in to the "lazy" stereotype that their opponents would so easily attribute to them.
