Yes! Finally, someone else has heard this guy! A friend and I found an old LP of Exuma while digging for records at a local shop and were instantly hooked. That first play through was creepy as hell, but so, so good.
Seconded: Exuma is one of those timeless artists that should always have a cult following somewhere. I've been listening to him for a few years, but only his first two albums. I only recently found out that he made albums up until 1987. His music helps fill this honkey's ancestral need for shamanic practices and music. Not to mention the interesting lineup of artists that he shared the stage with: Toots and the Maytals, Curtis Mayfield, Peter Tosh...Black Flag?? [citation needed] aside -- Right on, Exuma.
Of the 4 albums I've listened to, Exuma I and Exuma II are definitely the best. I can also recommend Snake though.
