Members of the new Hubski book club will already know this, so this is a reminder for them and an announcement for any other wonderful Hubskiyites who haven't heard. My comedy/adventure novel Radium Baby was recently published and the Kindle version is free on Amazon until tomorrow, the 7th. If you're interested in taking part in the book club, or if you just want an entertaining read, please grab a free copy while you can! If you miss the free offer, you can message me after the 7th and I'm sure we can sort something out.
We'll be discussing the novel on the 25th, so let us know what you think and don't be afraid to share your thoughts.
In the meantime here's the cover and a bit of blurb:
- The Pepperpots are dead — the world's most famous scientists have been poisoned by a radioactive duck. But even though Sam Ticky is little more than a tumbleweed from Oklahoma, he is convinced he is the Pepperpots' long-lost son.
The Sun Star Radio Corporation starts a nationwide search for the missing "Radium Baby," but Sam runs into trouble when two other teenagers also claim the title. The Radio Corporation drags the three teens into a race around the world, in which Sam must fend off hornets the size of cats, a cannibal bishop obsessed with playing hide and seek, and an insane Texan robot manufacturer.
But who is the real Radium Baby? And how many people will Sam hurt to find out?
RADIUM BABY is a strange and exciting adventure about ambition, failure, and radioactive bath-water.
Had I looked a little more intently and realized there was a paperback, I would have gone that route.
Thanks, StJohn! Edit: I'm laughing after just a few lines. Pig sty!
Ill save my thoughts for the book club, except to say that I'm really enjoying it this far. I have some long flights ahead of me and look forward to finishing it then. I just hope my plane doesn't crash in a radium bath but if it does, that'd be a hell of a way to check out! Great work SJ, I'm very much drawn to reading more.
