I think the little people should just "quit cheese", but search in the rats dumpsters for scraps and when the rats go out of town, they should house-sit their cheese castle for them. What do you think BLOB_CASTLE? Oh wait, that's not actually "quitting cheese."

"Quitting cheese" in the sense of quitting the fervent rat race(!) of trying to get more cheese through a flawed process and rather being content with the excess cheese I'm sure the rats dispose of.
