Been wanting to see Passion Pit for awhile now, I hope they come to my town soon. But they do seem to be obnoxiously popular with the middle school and high school crowd, and not for good reasons. I'll probably see them at least once and put up with the bullshit. On a side note, I'd love to see more of these. I actually write some amateur reviews myself, if you want a contributor if you ever get that blog up and running.
Exactly, the crowd was frustrating to say the least. Hopefully they have out your way. That is really cool, and the more contribution for this project the better. I'm trying to think of how to set one up, I'm currently leaning towards creating a tumblr or wordpress page for it as opposed to full on website (which I don't know how to create). Does anybody have any thoughts on that?
Always start with a free service unless you intend to run a business off it. I recently purchased heroicrpg.com because that's the intended name of the tabletop RPG I've been developing in my off time. I'm not doing it on a tumblr because tumblr is bad for products. Tumblr and wordpress are great for reviews. Worst case scenario, go to godaddy, swallow the disgusting sensation you feel from looking at the site, and you can hand them 25$ to give you your domain name for 2 years. God I feel filthy advertising them but shit, 25$ is so incredibly cheap.
At a certain point it becomes worth that feeling to be able to do what you want to do. I've went ahead and started this up, making a post about on on the music tag.
I don't know how to create either, but I do know tumblr pages seem to be a lot more popular with small time reviewers. I imagine a tumblr would be easier to make and a website could always be constructed alter.
