- Yesterday, The Walt Disney Co. unveiled plans to make a number of spin-off movies set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away — in addition to the post-Return of the Jedi trilogy that had already been announced.

As a proud member of the Star Wars extended universe subreddit (god help me), I am pretty into this news. I think it's much more likely they'll use the plots of some EU books for the spinoff movies (as they've already stated they won't use preexisting plots for the post-RotJ trilogy).
