Chatter is awesome. Nice work as always mk What are the chances that your infrastructure could handle and that you could make quora style live updating? I think it would really add to the chatter feature. It's nice to know what people are talking about right now. And you could go to conversation and see it update in real time. Really invites people to come join (i.e. the feedback loop is shorter)

Thanks. That's an interesting idea. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure. I'd have to talk to akkartik about it. However, I wonder if chatter is active enough that you would notice it.

I mean I think its cool because I can go there and see what people are commenting on very recently so I can get involved on something that isn't stale or rather really fresh.

I also just read this interesting quora answer (coincedental) and I think it made a good point about how short the feedback loop is and how it has helped it gain traction.

Thanks. It's definitely something I will think on.

On a related note, we are going to be changing the feed algorithm very soon. New comments will be a more important part of the equation. That might push things a bit more in this direction.
