Greetings,
Just wanted to share our podcast, Everything Sounds. The show focuses on the role of sound in art, science, history, and culture. So far we've touched on topics such as instruments made of melted-down meteorites, rare microphones thrown into a river in Iowa, dance and language traditions that developed in the gold mines of South Africa, a record label that exclusively releases music by artists that were commercial failures, an online archive of the sounds of antiquated technology, and how to make a ghost sound effect using a piano.
Don't know if you noticed, but you can only put one tag on a post, and then someone else can put a community tag on there. On the other hand, we now have a whole new tag to follow: #artsciencehistoryculturemusic
Thanks for stopping by. If I were to listen to a podcast, where should I start? Any favorites of yours that you're particularly fond of?
All of the shows can be accessed here: http://www.everythingsounds.org/listen/episode-guide/ I think episodes #11, #10, #08, and #07 are my favorites. My suggestion would be to listen to the most recent and go backwards. I think our latest episodes are much better than our first few.
Thanks for stopping by, good luck with your work and welcome to Hubski. My suggestion would be to listen to the most recent and go backwards. I think our latest episodes are much better than our first few.
I completely understand. I've recently begun recording Podcasts as well and I think they're getting better. I'm excited to begin listening, I've enjoyed what I've heard so far. I started as you suggest, with episode 11.
