Awesome. While you're at it, can you explain why titles are limited to 90 chars? Granted, I'm a verbose sonofabitch but I'm having to trim titles from like Boing Boing and stuff.

Yeah, but a good quote takes more than 90 characters.
There's arguments for your brevity here: http://www.wyliecomm.com/2011/02/write-headlines-for-google-... At the same time, if the "average" is 123 characters, that means that you're forcing your users to condense the stuff they read by 30%. Whether that's good or bad is up to debate.
