One of my closest friends just lost his mother. I really don't know what it is I'm supposed to do other than continue to be the same friend I've always been. I remember years ago my father gave me some advice that has always helped me when at a funeral. I asked him "Dad, how do you know how to act at a funeral, I always feel so uncomfortable and don't know what to say". His response has really been helpful to me in many life situations, he said "As you get older, you realize that nobody knows how to act or what to say, and you take comfort in that".
