I am so looking forward to the fall of Bashar Hafez al-Assad, but I'm not confident it will bring the peace and freedom the Syrians want. Two years ago at this time I was looking forward for the fall of Mubarak. It isn't turning out too brilliantly for the people of Egypt yet (especially the women), but I hope someday.
