The internet isn't the place to discuss this. Every facet has been discussed, explained, misrepresented, ignored, etc time and time again on every forum there is. These threads never spawn any new or useful conversations. Don't know why this deserves the #science tag.

When you can google search an answer, then there will stop being forum posts about it.

Ike, I would tend to agree that this doesn't necessarily fall under the tag "science", so I opted for the community tag "beliefs". I did enjoy the video though, I think it's interesting to talk about how different disciplines have different levels of acceptance of faith-based beliefs. I know some scientists that are men of faith and don't feel there is any conflict whatsoever.

I tend to agree that this is been discussed a lot, not just on the Internet, but around dinner tables and at the bar while having a drink with your buddies etc… It's been discussed. I think the only time it's an interesting discussion is when both parties are open to new ideas, open to a change of opinion. Otherwise, what's the use? I've been in these types of discussions though regarding religion, faith, and the need for evidence. These types of discussions, when all involved are open to new perspectives are fantastic, rare but fantastic.
