It sounds like you're gonna have some good, rewarding work ahead of you. I watch videos of all sorts of ecological restoration videos on YouTube from time to time. Some of the forest ones are so interesting, because they'll show before and after shots, sometimes only with five years in between, and the differences are like night and day.
