Looks like a good setup. I've been doing mead recently and have a batch about ready for bottling. It's a much simpler setup and hard to go wrong. I've been wanting to get into beer but I'll need a few more pieces of equipment first.

I plan to start a batch of mead soon, also. Honey is so expensive these days though - with varroa and CCD and all that. Maybe I shouldn't blow my own horn (nah, screw that)... but back in the 1990s, I won 3 first-place Mazer cups. Take it from one who knows, try to open as few bottles as you can stand, until it's a year old. It really does get so much better tasting, and you'll regret the ones you wasted by drinking them too soon :-)
