The last person I can think of who was elected by felons was Al Franken over Norm Coleman.

I guess I missed that. Felons?

Yep, 1000+ felons illegally voted in that election.

Margin of victory, as counted by Democrat appointed precinct captains AFTER the final vote was a bit over 300. Do the math.

How'd they know that? Did they go through the voter rolls?

BTW, I am for stamping out fraud. I just think we should do it over the course of a few years so a minimum of legit voters get turned away. I'm most bothered by how the issue always appears right before the election.

cliffelam  ·  4524 days ago  ·  link  ·

Yes, actually, that is EXACTLY what they did. And any election board could do that.

But they don't for various reasons.

Well, show me a plan that's not about winning an election, and that will get SCOTUS approval, and I'm in.

cliffelam  ·  4524 days ago  ·  link  ·

It's not SOCTUS it is the voting rights act and the Holder DOJ. Right.

And it's not about losing or winning an election, it's about a fair election. Or is your presumption that frauds are Donks?

And it's not about losing or winning an election, it's about a fair election.

For the Republican Pennsylvania House Majority Leader it is about winning an election:

I see your majority leader and raise you a Joe Biden.

It's about a fair election.

I heard a story on National Democrat Radio the other day about a group of "voters rights" people who have decided to just get every some dang ID. Perfect solution. Plus it's a great get-out-the-vote effort on top of it.

And then they'll have a fair election.

Don't get me started on electronic versus paper ballots....

I hope you're for paper ballots... :)

125%.

That's probably the most I've ever agreed with you, cliffelam.

cliffelam  ·  4522 days ago  ·  link  ·

Ok, here is some other stuff we can agree on: -> Everybody should have a friend with a pickup truck -> Everyone should be the guy who someone can call when they're in trouble -> Everyone should be kind to children and old people -> People are more important than animals or things

The part of the Venn diagram of life indicating agreement is always much larger than the rest of the picture.

Sure, but those are the uninteresting things to talk about. I don't like all this lovey dovey agreement BS. Let's argue more!

4 for 4.

I bet we can get at least three more: -> Leave it better than you found it. -> Take pride in your work. -> Don't disparage your significant other.

cliffelam  ·  4522 days ago  ·  link  ·

-> Don't be "that guy" in the conversation more than a few times a year -> Always buy girl scout cookies, boy scout wreaths, and school wrapping paper from neighborhood kids

mk  ·  4522 days ago  ·  link  ·

-> Always be able to point to someone that is drunker than you are.

cliffelam  ·  4522 days ago  ·  link  ·

-> If you can't identify the sucker at the table, it's you

mk  ·  4524 days ago  ·  link  ·

No, I think the SCOTUS is the standard. Some of the South still behaves badly. Any DOJ is temporary and possibly bad. Holder, Gonzolas, eek.

Some of the effort has been about winning. It needs to be done in a manner that guards against that. But yeah, there are probably more ineligibles voting Dem than for the GOP. I mean, if you are on the fringe, the GOP is not your party...

cliffelam  ·  4524 days ago  ·  link  ·

The SC's thumbs up/down the law, but congress writes it. I am 100% sure that the SC is not deciding if Inglewood AL can go from a partisan to a non-partisan primary for Sheriff.
