Damn. That's a really insightful write up. I don't have much to say other than I'm now even more interested in how this whole insurance thing ends up shaking out.

The only solution that makes sense is single payer.

Unfortunately, I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon, for a whole number of reasons. I hope I'm wrong though.

Naaah. It's gonna happen, and it's gonna happen soon. Aetna is for it. Krauthammer thinks we'll have it in six years.

Single payer is different than "socialized medicine." Single payer means the government says who's eligible, the government sets the prices, the open market provides the services and the open market provides the insurance. Medicare is single payer. Medicaid is single payer. It's capitalism with "care for citizens" added.

Something like 40% of our clients are already single payer.
