Tragic and mind-boggling. In an effort to understand a swatter's mindset, I came across this article after a quick google search....Once a month, are you gonna have to take take 30 minutes out of a Saturday night to make sure that your door's not getting kicked in? Sure. But that should be the cost of streaming. That should be the cost of being a YouTuber.
One of my buddies wanted to start up a Podcast and wanted me to be co-host. We've never been able to get it off the ground for a multitude of reasons, but I will admit I've been more than a bit hesitant on my side to even begin due to concerns of online harassment. It just didn't seem worth the risk. It's enough to make you wonder how many people out there avoid trying something new and fun on the internet because of fears of a toxic atmosphere. I know people scrub semi-anonymous social media accounts and create new ones every six months or so for similar concerns.
