the nyt op-ed from 1907 which pointed out that lincoln would have been deeply disappointed to cause a break from washingtonian tradition is correct

I would support plants as well as other wildlife. I don't like historic scenes or buildings because I think putting them on coins promotes a sort of devotion to the infallibility of that event. That's largely why I don't like putting people on coins, too. Imagery on coins should be unifying to all, not praising of an individual.
