That small squeaky hum coming to a crashing stop, just hard enough to feel in your hand Great description. I used to stay up so late waiting for one of my favorite songs to come on the radio so I could record it to tape. -The original pirating of songs.

I also remember making mixed tapes and having that 50 seconds of extra tape at the end of a side and not knowing what to put there.? My go-to song was always Her Majesty because it's only about 25 seconds long.
