At some point, people have to begin dying in large quantities. I'm wondering, a little, why that hasn't started happening yet. Or maybe it has. Venezuela is not Somalia, sure, but some populations just can't go without certain items, because they're disabled, old, young, pregnant, dietarily-restrained. As far as I can tell it's pretty hard to get anything except certain random items which the government is subsidizing.
