You can pretty much guarantee that once Google puts microphones in homes, the NSA will be collecting data on some of them. Of course, Google will only be able to give general numbers about how many requests the NSA has made.

Also, for anyone prosecuted for something based on evidence gathered by this home-tapping, the defense won't be able to use the evidence in court, because showing that evidence would compromise secret programs used to fight terrorism.

The Stasi never had it so good.
