As someone who has difficulty maintaining a bicycle, it struck me as an amazing achievement for a couple of high school kids. They said in the AMA they got the geiger counter and kept their distance due to large x-ray radiation so I'm guessing it's just to show the results visually. I had no idea there were even communities like that. The internet is such a boundless source of knowledge - if you can find what you are looking for.

I agree - I found the mugshot mentioned - looks terrible and I can only imagine what state his internal organs and the rest of his body are in.
