Damn, I am jelly. I'd like to get there some day, but it's a long way off for me. I can do maybe 80kg right now on bench. Right now I weight about 67kg. I'm going to finish my cut and then try Smolov Jr.
Hey man, if I'm honest I was pushing 80kg only about 3-4 months ago, that was my working set! I started benching twice a week with my current programme and the progress skyrocketed. I also believe there's a mental aspect to it, 100kg seemed absolutely daunting so any improvement I felt for sure I had reached my peak. 80kg weighing at 67kg is no small effort, shifting more than your bodyweight is always to be applauded! But yeah if you're cutting I can see how it would be difficult to slap weight on the bar consistently - Damn lemme know how Smolov goes, I've never had the guts to try that out!
I'm about to do a google search on Smolov Jr. That's a new one to me. Could you or anyone else also list some basic descriptions of it please? I'll add a link if I find something that looks reputable. Edit: Here is the link...looks good.
