Yep, people way oversell the ability of AI to do stuff. In reality, AI is only good because computers are really fast at failing at a task over and over again.

And heck, even if we get very smart computers, there's still an uncountably infinite number of uncomputable problems that we'll never be able to rigorously solve.

Exactly! There will always be unsolved problems in the world. Personally, I find this inspiring; I know that I'll never run out of interesting things to think about.
