You will get no disagreement from me. There was an article in the Fiscal Times this morning pointing out that the Republicans are between the devil and the deep blue sea - they either let it play out the way it's playing out and run Trump, thereby pissing off their base for a generation, or they pull strings and skunk Trump, thereby pissing off all their conversions for a generation. I think every electable Republican is sitting on the sidelines deciding that they can sit out this meat grinder and hope for less catastrophe in 2020.
