I have never considered it in that light. That makes sense, thanks. I'm never really enjoyed superman either. Now I have more reason not to.loathe Superman the comic. He has no flaws; he's morally perfect, as well as nigh-invincible. Which means he's boring. Clearly the solution is to give him a weakness: a rock. His only real weakness? He has the IQ of a sea cucumber. Hence, his arch-nemesis, a supergenius. But Superman's intelligence (or lack thereof) isn't seen as a weakness. It's treated more as a facet of his moral superiority. He may not have all the answers, but By God, he's going to Do The Right Thing! And of course, Lex Luther always loses. It's anti-intellectualism at its worst.
