I'm currently swamped with work myself and won't be able to see it until the new year. On the upside, I'll hopefully be able to see it with a less packed theater, making for a more enjoyable experience for myself. I've stopped going to see movies on their opening weeks years ago once I discovered that it's actually a lot less stressful to avoid the crowds.
We have one of those theaters where you repurchase your seats and get assigned spots about 3/4 of a mile from my house. I'd like to see it there. Chances are I'll see it next week while in MI of tickets are available because I cannot wait, but I'd rather see it in comfort, like you. Also, chances are I'll see it several times in the theatre. This from a guy that maybe sees 3 films a year in a theater.
We don't have any theaters around here like that (at least, not that I know of). There is a really nice one a while away from where I live though, that has reclining leather seats, craft beer, the whole nine yards. Tickets are expensive for obvious reasons, but I think for Star Wars, it'll totally be worth it.
