Is this in any way true or relatable to the real world? If it is, we might be looking at another species going up to our level, which is an amazing thought.

Well, it certainly isn't fictional. But the article even says, "... chimpanzees have been using stone tools in the rainforests of Ivory Coast for at least 4300 years." As amazing as it is, they have been doing it for thousands of years. What I find more enthralling is this.
