What is it in the modern zeitgeist that we cannot accept that bad things happen? The actual number of people hurt/killed per year by this kind of event is a mosquito bite in comparison to real public health issues, but this is going to be the catalyst for some crazy deep destruction of any facade of privacy any European once had, and I suspect a massive increase in frances' national debt. And hell, probably ours too because nobody starts shooting without some US involvement these days.
