Ehh. I dunno. I'll see it for the Luke Cage continuity, otherwise this really isn't grabbing my attention. Hell, if I feel like it takes effort to watch this, I'll probably pass on it just like I did on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Agents of Shields problem is that they have no superheroes haha. A friend of mine who saw the first episode premiere at NY Comic-Con told me to wait and see the first episode. His exact words were, "you are gonna be surprised." I'm holding out because I like the darker tone of the Netflix series because they add a nice contrast to the more lighthearted, less thoughtout film series of Marvel.
You know, I have to be a bit honest here. This show kind of feels like the late '80s to mid '90s of comics, where it was all about blood, guns, and gnashed teeth. Dark and moody has its moments, but if everything becomes too gritty it loses a lot of its impact.
