I read about Ethereum and understand some of it, but the rest goes over my head. To be honest I read about most crypto-currencies, and understand very little how it all works. I've never really put in the time to understand them because of the coding aspect of them, but the more I hear about them the more curious I become.

I know you have been involved with Ethereum, and I'm very curious to understand it. What makes it different than other crypto-currencies?

Ethereum is a virtual computer run on a p2p network. ETH is the token that secures the ethereum blockchain. The ethereum blockchain contains executables and state of the virtual computer, and ETH must be spent to run programs on it. You could theoretically run any program on ethereum, but ETH costs and network limitations make only simple ones viable.

Ahhhh ok so ethereum is taking this a step further than lets say Bitcoins. This isn't looking to simply decentralize currency, but rather decentralize conceivably any kind of app?

That is incredible and speaks to how ambitious Ethereum is. I will definitely be keeping my eye on this.

Yes, I think that's accurate. It's pretty incredible.

It definitely is. I can't code an app, but I am going to try to find a way to be a part of the system.

In the fact that it is really one of a kind, I don't think a small bet is unreasonable. It's a very long road ahead, however.
