We saw the Red Arrows today! It nearly was rained off, and eventually the heavens opened whilst they were performing but it was fantastic as always. I'm very fortunate that my grandparents house is practically at eye-level and they often target the performance towards or near the house so we get the full power of the jets rushing in towards us. They used to fly directly overhead but that's not happened for a long time now.
That is an absolutely majestic photo! It looks like you had an incredible view, I'm glad it went ahead! I remember when I was a kid seeing the Saudi Hawks for the first time. They also use a variant of the BAE Hawk. The noise was fantastic, it was one of the most spectacular things I had ever seen.
