I use uMatrix on my browser and I didn't get anything hinky from salon.com, but there was a ton of stuff blocked from the page.

Yeah, once I re-enabled AdBlock, no problems. Thanks for the suggestion though, AdBlock could go belly-up any day now. I understand that they need to generate revenue, but c'mon. Don't break up the article's content into four pieces separated by animated ads. I refuse to support such a ridiculous intrusion.
