Indeed. The internet is full of them. Still, it's important to be wary for people who are willfully malicious and could potentially bring tangible harm to others. Doxing, Swatting, IRL harassment, and God knows what else. I'm not saying that he is the latter, just that those are very real risks we all face by choosing to interact with each other on a public forum. It's actually why I would scrub accounts and create new ones every 3-6 months, why I never post photos of myself or my surroundings, tell people where I live, discuss the particulars of my job, and on and on and on. Hubski is kind of weird for me, because for the first time in many, many years, I see value in maintaining the same account. On the one hand, it's something I want to do because it holds an emotional value to me. On the other, I feel like the longer it exists, the more at risk I am.It's not important if someone is an asshole on the internet.
We're not really to that point here. You can visit my personal blog http://chrislivingstonart.wordpress.com and I don't feel I'm at risk of anything putting that out on my profile. Personally, I would've banned grendel a while ago but he's just being a prick so I understand not going to that length on mk or tng's part. I would rule my own social news alligator with an iron fist.
