I have in the past pushed for an expansion of mute -- once you mute someone, you should be completely unaware if they are still on hubski. This is not currently the case, probably never will be.

For that matter, I would like to not see anything that has been community-tagged #spam when looking at other tags.

Isn't the intent of the current system to give you the ability to notice if/when they improve and perhaps unmute in the future?

if I want to check on them, I can log out and see everything, or perhaps visit their profile specifically.

hubski shouldn't try to facilitate amnesty on behalf of someone whose presence is clearly not wanted.

as it stands, hubski even allows blocked people to send PMs, which is absurd

someday:

    "plz un-mute me. i luv u."

Edit: flagamuffin - I feel like I helped kill minimum_wage with my shit-posting. :/

Reinforced.

What a crazy turmoil it's been lately.

Might be for the best, but I don't know yet.

Personally, I only mute the spam. I enjoy hearing all perspectives, no matter how much I may disagree.

I do think self-moderation is the key to Hubski, what seperates it from all the rest. It may need a few tweaks but the system has always been in place to shoot an unwanted voice into space. And in space no one can hear you scream.
