More decent bookmarks is never a bad thing!
I'm going to state the obvious here and say YouTube. There are some real quality channels there! Kurz Gesagt, VSauce, MinutePhysics/Earth, Numberphile, Veritasium. It's also my main method of finding new music. I pretty much perpetually have a YouTube page open in the background.
A site that I visit sometimes for browsing is "Quora". It's basically an extremely classy version of Yahoo Answers, centered around informative responses to questions that are designed to prompt them. Just like on Hubski the answers you see are highly dependent upon the topics that you're following, and most of the posts on there are pretty interesting. Unfortunately, I think you need an account in order to be able to read anything, but it's worth it.
Ryuanime.com for when I feel like binge watching an entire anime over 48 hours (Ghost in the Shell: SAC and Cowboy Bebop being recent victims of this) Twitch.tv has some pretty good streams for all sorts of different games, and a lot of broadcasters are really down to earth people. This last one is going to sound a little weird, but I've actually been frequenting Chaturbate quite a bit, and not even for obvious reasons: some of the girls on there are really laid back, and the community can actually hold a conversation about a variety of different topics (provided you're not on one of the top streams...then everyone's just there for one thing in particular >.>) I mean don't get me wrong, I know what the purpose of CB is, but talking to a pretty, half-naked woman about astronomy or scientific stuff is pretty cool, in my opinion.
How do you initiate that? Do you just join a channel and say "Hey, have you heard about Pluto? Such a shame..." Jokes aside, I never really knew you could actually have a discussion on Chaturbate. It seems like the overwhelming majority is there for the same reason, and anything that strays from their desires would be angrily cut off pretty quick.
It all depends on the broadcaster. Usually if you stray from the front page of, say, the Female tab, for example, you can find a pretty woman with a lower viewer count, that's either just starting the stream, or having a little hangout session before they get to the down and dirty bits. It's a bit like being backstage before a concert...except the concert is amateur porn. xD After you've found a chill broadcaster, it's just a matter of hanging out. Some of them bring up current events and stuff, and a lot of them actually WANT the conversation to continue (because silence during a stream is a sign of boredom, and they're trying to entertain!) so they'll usually find a way to keep the talk flowing and natural.
I used to check 'Cracked' out everyday, the articles usually have a good combination of information/humor. Digg tends to have a few links per day that I enjoy. The /tv/ (television & film) board on 4chan is always good for a laugh, but that's really gonna depend on your style of humor.
You'll have to read between the lines here but it will probably be worth it Bob Dylan 's Stealing of James Damiano 's Songs Eleven Years Trailer the-frankels
