The platform uses a “reward’ system based on points to earn “views” for posts, so the more active you are, the more the network will promote your posts—-without hindrance from advertisers and profit models.

For every mobile vote, comment, remind, swipe & upload you earn points which can be exchanged for views on posts of your choice.

So it's like a hybrid between Facebook, Reddit and a MMORPG? People who spend all their time making inane comments and being useless pieces of shit will be rewarded with more visibility, while the intelligent person who makes a good comment once a week will be practically invisible.

It's good that they're at least contributing to normalising the use of encryption, they deserve some credit for that.

Seems like a good way to not only recreate the power users you see (or saw) with Digg and Reddit, but to explicitly encourage such behavior.

Yeah, it might turn out to be a good business model -we'll see- but as far as communities go, it'll be below Reddit-tier.

Facebook will actually encrypt your notification emails, at least.
