- You have this huge movement with the occupiers. These are disenfranchised people from both ends of the political spectrum who are very angry because they don't have jobs. And they are not going to matter one bit in this election because of all this money that's coming from very wealthy people...
Surely it doesn't help that he's tossing a million more on that pile of riches?
The US has always been a very rich-friendly country, but I imagine that it will become only more so. At least for the next couple of decades. My only hope is that this is a poison pill for both parties. It is possible that via these types of donations (or maybe crowd-sourced ones) that the funding infrastructure of the two parties can be trumped. Unfortunately, it might be by the wrong people for the wrong reasons. I am still hopeful about americanselect.org, though.
