The thing I remember thinking over and over when I listened to it yesterday on my walk to the beach was "Holy shit...this is painful to listen to." It makes you squirm.
I had the same response especially when he was asked about the workers with hexane poisoning and whether he met them. Also about the 12 year old girl that he never met. Then him saying he didn't lie because it fit the narrative that he wanted to get across. -No sympathy at all. The guys a liar.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure he requires sympathy ATM. He has been riding this all the way to the bank for awhile now.

To have a show like TAL do a retraction piece in order to shield themselves from your libleous bs makes you look pretty bad. His friends, family co-workers all heard it. He's now branded a liar and rightly so. He made his bed. So I think the days of him rolling around giddily in piles of money and praise are gone. He forever wears the scarlet letter. I would be willing to bet that if he could take back his lies and fabrications and make it known they were fiction, he would.

I would hope but I'm not so sure. In the retraction episode he starts off by sounding genuinely remorseful, while simultaneously continuing to lie through his teeth. Then in the second part when he calls Ira back, he retrenches and uses that as an opportunity to express how much he stands by what he did. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's not happy about being called out, but he leaves me wondering just how unhappy he really is. I'm not convinced he wouldn't do it all over again if he could...

It may take time for him to realize what he's done to his name.

Yes. I have very little sympathy. There is one point when he gets real quiet that I almost feel for him. You can tell he's hurting. But I don't care he's hurting anymore.
