Oooooo, that is so weird to me. Thank you. I've never heard that before. It is sadder. I think that Steven's version has an element of defiance in his voice. Smith's seems much more like a lament.
Yes. I agree completely. Cat Stevens is demanding that the trouble leave him alone. Elliott is just kind of resigned to the fact that it's not going anywhere, but he makes a plea anyway. Both are amazing. The whole Harold and Maude soundtrack is amazing. Everyone should watch that movie.
