(content warning: animal death and mild gore)
this is obviously a bit embellished and a bit outdated (i don't think they would laud connections to SeaWorld or Ringling Bros. any more) but it matches the rigor described on the website and its course catalogue. i'm very interested in seeing how it goes for him. unfortunately he's not the type to keep a blog and he is a man of few words so we will miss out on his personal experience i think
A friend of the family is the head veterinarian at a wildlife safari park. It's also the home of the Americas most successful cheetah breeding program. I've had the opportunity to go behind the scenes and it seems like an amazing life. To be a part of a network that strives to insure the existence of endangered species seems like an intense duty and privileged. I hope your brother gets to be a part of such an inspiring endeavor.
it pays like crap but he doesn't want for much. he spends his weekends at the humane society and our local zoo volunteering and once a month goes to protest the inhumane treatment of animals at amusement parks. the program is rigorous and i hope he is successful because this is really what he wants to do with his life!
