We may never know the truth, but until he is exposed as a fraud, perhaps we should enjoy suspending our disbelief and give Mr Jani the benefit of the doubt.

No.

‘These claims are very dangerous, because people try to follow these holy men and can end up hurting themselves.'

This is the specific reason that I don't like these kinds of magic men. Even if he is able to survive without food and water for some (weird) reason, that doesn't mean other humans can as well. Yet I'm sure other people will "suspend their disbelief" and try to replicate his "survival technique." Which will not end well.

He isn't asking for what he's doing to be replicated, he's just doing it.

According to the article, the military is looking to replicate it. I'm guessing there are other people who want to forgo eating and drinking.

EDIT: To clarify, he is not asking for people to replicate it, sure. But people will try to anyway. That is bad.

I wonder how many people who will try to replicated it will realize that it requires extreme spiritual devotion/practice, such as he's shown.
