I've always sort of viewed crickets in the Disney sense, you know Jiminy Cricket from Pinocchio, so they don't really bother me. Perhaps if Disney had made a movie about a cockroach that guides a wooden puppet through the perils of the world and ultimately towards becoming human, I wouldn't have such a problem with roaches either.
Seeing that cute little cricket in the glass definitely makes me wonder how such a small, passive creature could stir anyone to fall off their toilet and pee all over themselves ;-) Pretty funny.
