828 days later into working in this lab - if I could go back I'd tell myself to join a different one! but I did end up going to India for a little while, which was a lot of fun. All in all, there are lots of things to be learned from working under insufferable advisors. (Every few months I remember my hubski account and wonder what my password was, but today I remembered)
First of all, I'm glad you remembered your password! Welcome back. I'm sorry to hear that your advisers are horrible, but you are right there is something to be learned from such things. I'm glad you were able to visit India, what was it you enjoyed about it? For me, I envision eating like a madman. I love Indian food.
Yep! Ate everything in sight. A hefty per diem made sure of that. It was also fun trying to pick up some Hindi (I was in Delhi mostly). It's great going places where people are so excited for you to be learning their language, and willing to help. It's too bad that the US isn't more like that towards non-native English speakers.
