Thanks for the Beta key, insomniasexx

I really wanted to like it. Then I discovered it not only wouldn't work with .mac, it wouldn't work at alll with my own mailserver. Which means for those of us who maintain eight mail accounts on our computers and five on our phones, Mailbox was a bit of a letdown to say the least. It also integrated piss-poorly with other clients - the way Mailbox handled "archiving' or whatever they called it meant if I was sitting at my computer with some spare time to deal with that thing I pushed off for a day, I couldn't even search for it. It's probably a great program for people who don't have a lot of need for a great program (burn). For the rest of us, we're kinda stuck bludgeoning Thunderbird into behaving.
The whole concept of Mailbox is built around the gmail labeling system. While I LOVE the way they handle and clean your inbox and basically everything about Mailbox - the fact that it's BUILT ON FUCKING GMAIL LABELS IS FUCKING RETARDED. I happen to use Gmail or emails that are on Google Apps for Business. That's pure luck. I will say that I've opened gmail.com at least once a day since I've been using Mailbox. That's something that never happened with Sparrow. Right now, I'm only using Mailbox on my phone for organizing and Sparrow on my computer for composing emails and getting things done. It's a bit of a ridiculous process - one that should change soon (I hope) since Mailbox has been pushing updates once a week. I have high hopes but do not blame you (or anyone) for hating Mailbox.
I was thinking of adding that as a footnote to be honest, yeah it probably is kblh good for semis moderate email users who only have one account, such as myself. Good luck with Thunderbird though, because lord knows the luck wasn't with me when it came to that program.
Tbird is a chunk of shit. Things I have tried: Mac Mail Postbox Thunderbird Airmail Mailbox Things I will not try come hell or high water: Outlook Depending on the version, Postbox/Tbird tend to be the most functional (probably because Postbox is a paid port of Tbird). If it weren't for the insane bloatware of Mac Mail and its pernicious tendency to hammer your mail server once per account every two minutes (thus forcing your reseller to consider it a DDOS attack - I shut down my wife's website before I ported to my own space), I wouldn't have ventured forth in the first place... but a Tier 3 guy told me with great confidence that only Mac Mail has the bad manners to DDOS your own server.
Have you tried Sparrow? I've used that as my primary email client for 3 years now. Even though Google bought them and it's no longer under development, it still works on Mavericks.
I've actually been enjoying Mailbox to manage my home and work gmails. I still have to use other apps for my 'branded' and school emails, but other than that I'm happy with it. I suppose my email demands aren't that great at the moment, so I have no need for anything more than what they offer. I don't know if they were the first to do it, but their UX is a great change from every other mobile email app I've tried.
