Drop ads and what? Make people pay? Systems like reddit gold might work, but reddit has the advantage of a huge identy and user-community to it. Facebook does not, random news sites do not. Nobody is going to view a subscription model. Maybe the internet will go "Free to play" as mobile has. Locking features behind walls. Yeah, no. I prefer ad-sites.
