I did this as well! It worked well for the first half of the day but unfortunately fell apart around 2pm. I was in the office from 8am-9pm yesterday and it was utter chaos. I think it would work better for a freelancer who has more control over their schedule, responding to clients, etc. I have people walk up to my desk, call me, email me, all day. For example, at 10:30am, a coworker came to my desk to tell me she needed product photos by 11am. Are you kidding me?!

I'm going to try again today but throw it away around 1pm and make a new one for the afternoon based on the changes that have happened in the morning.

I'm meticulously organized as it is (I was diagnosed OCD in high school) and being in utter control of things makes me happy and less anxious. I can't actually control 99% of outside forces but I control what I can. My to do lists, my calendar, my organization, allows me to know exactly what I need to do and then allows me to do it. I am most stressed and least productive when I don't even know what I need to do, I just know theres a boatload of stuff to do.

Adding the time blocks was actually really really nice and also helped me be more aware of the times things take to get done, how behind I am, etc.

I like this a lot. It's going to take some practice and learning but it's really nice.

Maybe RescueTime is something for you? Tracks what you do, and if you pay for it you can let it notify you when you're doing app or website X for too long (and many more).

That sounds great.

I used to spend a bit too much time online / fucking around but I've been so busy, I don't have any problems with procrastination currently. I'm just going going going. It's been crazy. I miss down time. I miss Hubski. I miss reading random things. I miss commenting.

The only reason I'm here right now is I'm in the conference room sitting in a utterly worthless meeting with utterly useless management.
