That is exactly what this map is. I saw it in an article on how geography impacts politics describing why there is a band of counties with a high black population in the US south.

Oh I remember that map. So that explains the swing through the deep south, but non-Caucasian doesn't seem to hold up when you look at New England.

Hmm. Good point I did not notice that. Maybe the percent that are Babtists or Protestants maybe?

I'm going to stick with non-Caucasian percentage.

It's got to be something directly to do with that map, because the counties line up almost perfectly, but unfortunately in that article they never zoomed out. We'll find out Monday, I guess.
