So this is cool. I'm kicking around a few ideas: drug-related, people who are descended from x, people whose ancestors are x, etc. Gun owners seems too easy. Maybe something to do with protected areas, outdoor activities? Jobs that have to do with x?
What do y'all think?

That is exactly what this map is. I saw it in an article on how geography impacts politics describing why there is a band of counties with a high black population in the US south.
